The
new resolution of the City Council of Willoughby is another step for the
preparation of Australia in relation to the recognition of the Genocide of the
Armenians. Presently after many years of struggle, two out of six cities of
Australia have recognized this Genocide and actually within the context of the
trinity of genocides, that being the Assyrian, the Armenian and the Greeks of Pontus.
This means that the struggle needs to continue for the 4 cities and the
territories which of course belong to the federal government of the
Commonwealth. And the example of Willoughby shows with strategy, at a tactical
level since this can happen also in other cities that actually belong to States
which didn't yet recognize the Genocide at their own
level. Thus each state and each territory is an element of a strategic mix of
Australia. It is therefore important that the decisions of the cities get coordinated,
so that they constitute a solid foundation for the next stage. And for those
who think that all these happen without struggle and without sacrifices, it
suffices to examine the facts that took place also due to the anniversary of
ANZAC. Consequently, we must be pleased and for these acts at the level of the
council, because all the stages have their difficulties due to inertia,
indifference and pressures that we receive by the turkish propaganda committees
which try to annul the struggle of the recognition of the Genocides.
