As strange as it may sound to the invader, and despite all his
efforts, in vain, to change the data, the Turkish Cypriots do have a country
already, and indeed a European one, as do the other four communities, namely,
the Greek Cypriots, the Armenians, the Latins and the Maronites. As Cypriot
citizens and Europeans, they have no need from any other country so that they
